Durban – The shooter, who shot two people in the Durban Magistrate's Court on Monday morning, succumbed to his injuries.
On the KwaZulu-Natal police spokeswoman Colonel Thembeka Mbele man, who was also a police officer, died in the hospital.
"The investigation will be investigated," she said.
Earlier in the day, a man entered the court O and fired shots at his ex-wife and the man told police the woman's brother.
It is believed that the shooting stems from an internal affair between the shooter and the dead woman.
The shooter then turned the gun on himself and fired. He was taken to a local hospital for emergency care.
Speaking outside the court, Mbele said the two died from wounds and died at the scene.
Durban Magistrate's Court was on lockdown for most of Monday.
