Convicted child killer Kathleen Folbigg blamed supernatural forces for taking the life of her three children, saying the court had "things happen out of my control."

Key points:

  • This is the second day in the investigation of 51-year-old convictions in 2003 for killing his three children
  • Kathleen Folbigg told the inquiry she believed that "fate, karma, God," explained why "it all happened"
  • Folbigg also had to explain the record where she wrote: "I do not deserve never to have children again"

On the second day of the investigation in their beliefs for the murder of three of their children – Sarah, Patrick and Laura – and the manslaughter of his first child, Caleb, Folbigg gave often emotional testimony in Sydney court on Tuesday to try to explain what she says happened to her children.

Folbigg is serving a minimum 25-year sentence after a conviction in 2003 for murder.

Convicted killer gives evidence for the first time in the diaries she saved from 1989 to 1999 – the diaries that were used to convict her of the murder of their children.

In one exchange, a retired Judge Reginald Blanch, head of the investigation, requested that a convicted murderer on the record where she wrote that her newborn Laura, her fourth child, was "saved her life by being different."

She wrote that she would not be treated with another child, her third born, Sarah.

To Mr. Blanche that she had in mind, Folbigg replied: "I was sure that the fate, karma, God, mind, spiritual thing [that] was another reason why all this is happening, "she said.

"That there were other things that are happening out of my control."

This prompted Mr. blanch ask Folbigg, if it considers that there is some supernatural force, which took three other children from her.

Folbigg, is now 51 years old, he said: ". Yes, along these lines, so, your honor"

Doing "terrible things"

As evidence to help the two day this morning in prison prisoner denies that it intentionally hid their diaries in her wardrobe before the police searched her house Singleton.

She told the inquiry diaries were used in an inappropriate case as evidence against it, because when they were written, they were simply "random thoughts."

Kathleen Folbigg denies one diary entry about putting their children to sleep meant suffocating them.

After the death of her first three children, when she was pregnant with fourth child, Laura, she wrote in a diary entry on New Year's Eve 1997: "I'm going to ask for help at this time, rather than trying to do everything himself any more."

"I know that this was the main cause of all my stress before stress and made me do terrible things," she wrote.

In court, Margaret Cunneen, who was previously a lawyer for ex-husband Craig Folbigg, asked: "What terrible things that stress you have done with the other kids?"

Folbigg replied: "Terrible things are such a common term that terrible things can be anything."

Ms Cuneen: «Horrible things that you mean it is strangling your other children under a lot of stress?"

Folbigg: «No, this does not apply to it at all"

Folbigg admitted that she was quick-tempered at times but a diary entry that said, one of her children had died "with a little help" will not help her.

Kathleen Folbigg again became emotional when she was forced to explain another entry in the diary of the years prior to her fourth child, Laura was born, where she wrote: "I do not deserve never to have children again."

She said that her diaries were random thoughts, and that the "curvature of the path," she believed that her children prefer to leave it.

Ms Folbigg repeatedly denied that anything to do with her death, or her dark mood caused it harm their children.
