For the first time in New Zealand, courses now exist
for people who are really new to boating because of
Coastguard Boating Education, leader of the country
provider of recreational boating courses.

Courses,
called the beginning of the beginning, allowing them to be new
boating and not taking over the boat, to
understand what is going on, get hold of boating
terminology and feel more comfortable in water.

"New
Zealanders like to play with boats, but it doesn't
that means it's everyone's DNA, "said Mike Brown, General
Coastguard Boating Education Manager. "We have launched
this course to serve those who are new to boating,
may be afraid to ask questions, and just want to understand
more about that.

"We want people to enjoy boating
rather than anxious. This course provides that and complements
those who are just boating with basic knowledge and skills
know what to do if they or someone else is on board
suddenly ends in water. "

Starting boating is
Online courses available on smartphones, tablets and desktops
ensure participants can learn at their own pace, time and time
in a location that works for them rather than having to come
into the classroom environment.

"Basically
Starting Boating is a philosophy for making more boating
accessible to everyone. If you are ready, and have
plan a day where you are more likely to have fun, "said
Mike. "We are pleased with the support shown by
the boating industry for this course and the Disability has been kind enough
support us with inflatable boats to give one
new boatie who took the course before the end
January."

This course covers the basics of what to take
when boating, what to do if you are seasick, boating
Security Code, choose the right lifejacket and
the importance of planning a trip. The basics of safe speed are
also discussed like some of the most common boating requirements,
enable better communication and understanding between
everyone on board.

"The idea is that the information crew
members will be more relaxed, have a better day, can
to provide assistance to the skipper if it occurs
incident and maybe even motivated to take their boat
further education trip. "

Starting boating is
available for only $ 35 and is the perfect Christmas gift for
anyone who just came out of the water. Start Boating
