The Nikkei Asian Review wrote Monday that Apple has protected plans to increase iPhone XR production and focus on the old iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus models. Anonymous sources familiar with the case said that Foxconn's subcontractors will produce around 100,000 fewer cellphones every day than the plan.
– From Foxconn's side, they clarified 60 production lines for the Apple XR model. In the past, they only used about 45 production lines, because the company's main customers said they didn't have to produce so much now, said one source from the site.
