Bucharest – November 2018 – The 2018 Web Way, the most important technology event in Central and Eastern Europe, will take place on November 19 and 20, at the National Theater in Bucharest.
Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, fintech, software robots, smart mobility, or techdemocracy are some of the topics debated by international experts such as Daniel Dines – UiPath CEO, Chris Wylie – former research director of Cambridge Analytica or Andrius Biceika – Revolut.
This conference is dedicated to technology enthusiasts and IT entrepreneurs and is organized into five sections with more than 40 presentations, 6 master classes and 20 demos: Leaders and Trends, where experts from Revolut and FintechOS will discuss new trends in fintech, Elrond and KPMG about blockchain, Druid and UiPath about Artificial Intelligence, Glovo, Taxify and ApeRider about smart mobility; Designing Innovations includes master classes and debates with innovation and company collaboration with startups; in the Startup Academy, well-known international investors and founders will share their expertise with budding entrepreneurs; The Growth Machine is a section where specialists in KPMG, Omniconvert, or Planable will present best practices in the development of distribution, sales and marketing processes that startups must take into account; the speaker in the Better Team covers human resource topics that focus on developing teams in technology companies.
The two-day event will be opened by Daniel Dines, founder and CEO of UiPath, who will talk about the spectacular routes of the first Romanian unicorn and Christian Lanng, founder and CEO of Tradeshift, which will present the latest trends in the supply chain system. Among the most important moments on the conference agenda were presentations from Chris Wylie (former director of research at Cambridge Analytica) – Technlogy against democracy, Dan Toma (international consultant & writer consultant), Jevgeni Kabanov (Taxify) – Masterclass of The Corporate Startup, Julian Lukaszewicz (Fjord / The Dock, part of Accenture Innovation) – Value of the Aesthetic Design Masterclass, Mike Parsons (Innovation & CIO at Qualitance) – 11 Important Truths About How Innovation Really Works, Elise Sass (field coach & COO on Lift99) – Deck pitch best and Andrei Pitis (Fitbit), Mihai Rotaru (ex-Clever Taxi) and Teodor Blidarus (FintechOS) will share their experiences in international business and investment.
STARTUP SPOTLIGHT will announce the winner on the last day of the event. The prizes include: a 50,000 euro investment check offered by GapMinder.VC through a 10,000 euro Techcelerator, token (ERD), offered by Elrond Network, the TechCrunch Disrupt Berlin package and an interview in the final selection of 500startups for Silicon Valley accelerators. Also, the 2018 Web Way will launch the Fintech Innovators 2018 report, which is published with support from UniCredit Bank, which will present some of the most promising Romanian startups that develop innovative products for the financial industry.

The new How To Web edition will end with a speech by Radu Paltineanu, climber, cyclist and blogger, the first novel to cross America on a bicycle that will notify participants about his 3-year adventure and 34,000 km, but about soft skills needed to overcome the difficult times that every entrepreneur can fulfill in their career.
