This guide won 16 Restaurants with Stars

<div_ngcontent-c14 = "" innerhtml = "

That 2019 Michelin Guide, arguably the culmination of a restaurant ranking, has just released its latest New York City list – with three additional two stars and 13 additional one stars. And this is a massive increase from the list last year: The city now has 16 new companies that are starred compared to 2018 which are paltry six, half are Japanese.

The coveted list of three stars? It can be expected ho-hum in the same restaurant retains their star, as they have for the past few years: Daniel Humm's Eleven Madison Park, Eric Ripert Le Bernardin, Thomas Keller Per Se, Masa Takayama Masa, and C & eacute; sar Ramirez's Chef 's Table in Brooklyn Fare has maintained their three star status. Again. (This category has remained largely stagnant for years, except for Decline in the position of Jean-Georges on the 2018 list. And the lack of movement has become a "situation" & nbsp; which has caused some goosebumps in the culinary world, given that rich restaurants in New York are home to many places worthy of getting three stars.)

Gabriel Kreuther, Ichimura in Uchū, and L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon are the place for two new stars this year. But I can't say that I'm surprised – the restaurant is in the Michelin alley in terms of food, atmosphere and service. They are all famous, for sure. But nothing is truly innovative or very interesting. Michelin, after all, is known for its relatively "safe" and calm choices.

But there is one anomaly: Tetsu Basement Masa Takayama, which is now closed, is technically one of the additional two-star restaurants in the city. But the guide went to press before the concept closed the door.

The addition of one Atomix star, Bouley at Home, Claro, Jeju Noodle Bar, Kosaka, Le Coucou, Le Grill de Jo & euml; l Robuchon, Noda, Okuda, Oxomoco, Sushi Nakazawa, Sushi Noz, and Tuome all made cuts.

It is good to note that Asian dishes, especially Japanese, are good luck. And for the first time in Michelin history, a noodle shop actually claims a star. But all of that, is quite confusing that there are no other quality noodle-advanced restaurants (and New York City certainly has a lot) to get stars.

Mexican food also gets some traction. Claro (Oaxacan restaurant) and Oxomoco (a restaurant billed as "Mexican firewood) are two of the 13 new one-star entries.

In other new star news, it's time for Daniel Rose's Le Coucou, which is located in 11 Howard hotels in SoHo. Enthusiastic visitors have long demonstrated for inclusion. And the first star is indeed very feasible. I think, however, that many would argue that it is a good enough restaurant to claim two stars.

Beyond that, this year has seen some stripping: The Breslin, Aureole, Delaware and Hudson, and Minetta Tavern no longer have stars.
