Amst Fuchs: "Finally the course is free" – Zurzibiet – Aargau

The Bad Zurzach community is a further big step with the century East Bypass project: Federal Courts have not responded to complaints from recent opponents. In early June, the Aargau Administrative Court did not respond to the woman's appeal for formal reasons.

"We are very pleased that after it was clear from the voting population in January 2012, the method was finally free," said the city of Bad Zurzachs, Reto S. Fuchs. «The east bypass line helps us develop the center and improve quality of life. Together with Canton, we now want to start a step further quickly. "The Aargau region also wants to systematically defuse its historic old cities through traffic. East Bypass is intended to direct the north-south traffic out of the city center, to improve historic market cities and to strengthen Bad Zurzach as the focus of regional development. The average daily traffic of about 9800 vehicles on the main line and around 11,000 vehicles on pedestrian roads is a heavy burden on the community.

Opponents of Dietikon

Initially there were 28 objections to East Bypass. VCS has filed a complaint, but then changed. A retiree, who grew up in Bad Zurzach and lives at Dietikon, had rejected the project until the end. Together with the community of heirs, he has undeveloped land around the eastern route route planned and fought against the 75 million project after the Aargau government council gave the green light in March 2018.

The woman complained, among other things, in her opinion, was too high, not a defect in a fair gradient in the tunnel. In an emergency scenario, this will be an irresistible risk. On Wednesday, the canton said in writing: "The Federal Supreme Court has not responded to complaints that have been forwarded." More precise information about these reasons is not available, said Simone Britschgi from the Communication Department of the Department of Construction, Transportation and Environment (BVU). "But this is good news for Canton and for the Bad Zurzach community."

Starting from land acquisition procedures

"If the Federal Supreme Court has opened a case, this will delay the project for at least another year," said Guido Sutter, Canton project manager. However, there are further obstacles: The next step is the procedure for land acquisition. "We will negotiate with the landowner and conclude the contract." If no agreement is reached, the court will be asked again. "However, this is no longer about the project itself, but about land prices," Sutter said. In line with land acquisition, the submission of the main works was prepared. Construction is expected to begin in early 2020, as reported by the cantonal department of Construction, Transportation and Environment. The construction period is around four years. This Bypass has a 530-meter tunnel, passes through the center of the village and connects two new roads Bruggerstrasse and Zürcherstrasse.

In early January 2013, Parliament approved a 49 million CHF loan. Additional emergency exits and tunnel vents are one of the reasons why the 2014 Supreme Council must vote on additional loans of 16 million francs. The total costs for the Bad Zurzach east bypass amounted to 75.26 million francs, of which Canton received 65.26 million francs. 10 million francs were recorded by the Bad Zurzach community.
