Tumors that develop in cells in the neuroendocrine system are formed by nerve cells with cells that produce hormones called Neuroendocrine Tumors (NET). The cancer prevalence of the NET group, which is classified according to the organ or tissue they receive, is quite high compared to other cancers. Hacettepe University Cancer Institute Faculty Member Dr. Ayuayib Yalçın said: "There is no other type of cancer that has little work done on it." According to world data, 5-7 out of 100 thousand people are diagnosed with NET every year. With a rough estimate of neuroendocrine tumors of 5600 people per year in Turkey it is thought to have been captured.
