The president of the National Assembly’s health subcommittee, Deputy Henry Ventura, was killed this Saturday.
According to information provided by members of parliament close to the parliamentarian, the cause of his death would be covid-19, a disease that caused him to enter a medical center.
Upon learning of the news, President Nicolas Maduro expressed regret over the physical departure of the parliamentarian, whom he described as “a tireless fighter for the health of the people, a revolutionary, hardworking, honest and loyal.”
Ventura was born on April 23, 1965 in Falcon State. He was a member of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv), the political party that nominated him as a candidate from Falcon, and after his election was elevated to the Standing Committee on Integral Social Development, where he chaired the subcommittee on health.
